Professor Shi Qian, male, was born in Sep. 1951. He was graduated from Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Institute in 1978, majoring in Rolling Machinery, and began to work there after his graduation. In June 2004, he was appointed as Chairman of the University Council of NUC. He also holds the posts of Chairperson of Students' Affairs Research Branch of China Higher Education Association, Standing Director of College Thoughts and Political Education Branch of China Machinery Industry Education Association.

Dr. Jia Suotang, Professor and Doctoral Advisor, male, was born in 1958. He has worked as Vice President of Shanxi University and was appointed as President of NUC in Feburary 2010. He also holds the posts of Vice Director of State Key Lab of Quantum Optics and Quantum Device, Director of Chinese Optical Society, Member of National Advisory Committee on Teaching Physics in Higher Institutions, and Member of National Evaluating Committee on Undergraduate Teaching Work, etc.

University in 1986. He has worked as deputy director of Students Department, director of
Students Department, director of the Presidential Office and Assistant President of Shanxi

NUC. He was appointed as Vice Chairman of the University Council of NUC in Nov. 2008.

of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Vice Chairman of University Council of North China Institute of Technology. He was appointed as Vice Chairman of University Council of NUC in June
2004.
